Matt Bloom told us how Jason Jordan was a gifted athlete yet it was hard to believe him from a personality standpoint. They showed Jordan cutting a lame promo. Jordan mentioned how he didn't have the early confidence. Regal said Jordan hasn't found "his thing" until recently. Jordan thought that being in a tag team has brought him to the next level. They showed the forming of the Jordan and Gable tag team. Jordan and Bloom mentioned how Chad Gable has similar athletic background as Jordan yet he exudes a lot of charisma and character.
Chad Gable was profiled. Gable went over his amateur background since five years old. They also mentioned his Olympic background. Gable brought up how Jordan was a perfect partner and how he developed chemistry with his partner Jordan. They showed Jordan cutting a better promo segment with Gable by his side. Jordan said that a bond was formed coming off the amateur wrestling background. They showed Jordan and Gable bonding over basketball.
Moore Asides: Chad Gable is known in the real world as Chad Betts where he is an amateur wrestling champion at many levels. He started off as a High School wrestling champ in his home state of Minnesota.
They cut to ZZ, who was being featured in this episode. ZZ was shown setting up his new home. ZZ was shown by himself in his new "bus" which was a trailer. ZZ said living alone was awesome because you can walk around naked as long as you put on shorts as you go outside. He brought up breezes being a surprise. ZZ said living alone teaches you a lot of stuff like cleaning. He brought up how he doesn't wear shoes, but instead slip on boots or flippy-flops.

Mojo said WWE was the first thing he wanted to do and Ultimate Warrior was his inspiration. He brought up his background with the Arizona Cardinals. His NFL career was ended when he blew out his calf.
Moore Asides: Mojo Rawley is also known as Dean Muhtadi, who had a short but sweet career where he held a lot of potential as a defensive end. He was signed by the Arizona Cardinals after being waived by the Packers, but couldn't escape training camp cuts due to injury.

They showed his highlights like his US and Tag title wins. They also brought up the "Ryder Revolution" stemming from the True Long Island Story online show. They showed the famous clip of Ryder "Trying to get over" a fence. Gable brought up the importance of winning this match to get on the takeover show. Gable had his injured ankle taped up. Ryder was shown very frustrated as the cliffhanger for this week was the result of the Hype Bros vs. Jordan and Gable...
John's Thoughts: This was an okay episode overall but not as "hype" as the first two. I could have done without the ZZ segments as they seemed a bit pointless. ZZ is lazy; ZZ is uninspired; ZZ is a goof; and ZZ needs cardio. We learned that on the last episode and throughout Tough Enough, so I don't see the need of belaboring the point.
I actually am very intrigued at the Mojo Rawley and Zack Ryder situation. Mojo is a goof, but a bit more of a lovable goof due to his passion for WWE (as opposed to ZZ). Ryder intrigued me in his short time on the show as he showed a sense of urgency throughout the show in how he's trying to get out of the rut he is stuck in and Mojo could be either his golden ticket out or his albatross. Jordan and Gable also had a cool story, but I felt that we could have dug deeper somehow.
Speaking of digging deeper, I really like the Cal Bishop story, but felt like we didn't get the most out of it. The best segment involving Cal was that promo segment where he went introspective in his life and he teared up when recapping his injury. I felt like we missed out on more of Cal's story due to WWE feeling the need to tell us that ZZ is lazy yet again. This might be the weakest of the episodes so far, but it's still fun insight into the behind-the-scenes life of NXT. I hope next week isn't dedicated to Sara Lee or Josh as much as ZZ was this week.
