PWG Battle of Los Angeles Night Three
Reseda, California at the American Legion
Report by Dot Net reader Zack Zimmerman

1. Ricochet defeated Dezmond Xavier in a second round match. Ricochet advances with the King’s Landing in a fun opener. Xavier gets a standing ovation post-match for his efforts.

2. Travis Banks beat Marty Scurll in a second round match. It was solid. Travis got the upset win over last year’s winner with a rollup.

3. Keith Lee beat Donovan Dijak in a second round match. Five stars. Keith Lee won a crazy match. Both guys are complete stars.

4. Rey Fenix beat Zack Sabre in a second round match. Fenix reversed Zack’s prawn hold and scored the win to advance. Fun, physical match.

5. Jeff Cobb beat Sammy Guevara in a second round match. It was a sprint. Best case scenario for a Jeff Cobb match. He won after a Tour of the Islands.

6. Matt Riddle beat Penta 0M in a second round match. Riddle won with the Bromission. Bad showing for Penta, who is earning himself the monicker of Penta El 0 Effort.

Intermission

7. Ricochet beat Travis Banks to advance to the three-way finals. The match opened hot. I loved that pairing. Didn’t love the result as much but, hey, Ricochet is 1/3 of the finals.

8. Keith Lee beat Rey Fenix to advance to the three-way finals. Enjoyed that a lot. Short but sweet. Lee wins with the Ground Zero (which is a lousy name for his Fireman’s Jackhammer).

9. Jeff Cobb beat Matt Riddle to advance to the three-way finals.

10. Joey Janela, Mark Haskins, Flash Morgan Webster, Flamita, and Chuck Taylor beat Trevor Lee, Brian Cage, Sami Callihan, WALTER, and Jonah Rock. Fun match, not too much schtick. Taylor got the win for his team.

11. Ricochet defeated Jeff Cobb and Keith Lee to win the Battle of Los Angeles tournament. Lee eliminated Jeff Cobb before Ricochet rolled Lee up to become the two-time BOLA winner. Top-notch show. One of the best I’ve been to. Ricochet told Chuck he’s going to take the title before taking off for bigger and better things. The show closed with Lee and Cobb putting over PWG and the crowd. Thumbs up show, regardless of the final result.
