Paul “Triple H” Levesque provided a health update on Tommaso Ciampa during a conference call with the pro wrestling media on Friday. Levesque stated that Ciampa turned his ankle during a live event on Thursday, but there were no fractures or breaks. Levesque added that Ciampa was feeling better today, yet the medical staff will ultimately determine whether he is able to wrestle at Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Chicago event.
Powell’s POV: Ciampa and Johnny Gargano are scheduled to challenge the Authors of Pain for the NXT Tag Titles on Saturday. Levesque indicated that no decision has been made regarding a potential replacement. Hopefully Ciampa is good to go. If not, Scott Dawson jumps out to me as a cool one night partner for Gargano.
