NXT wrestler Tommaso Ciampa suffered an injury during Thursday’s NXT live event in Highland Heights, Kentucky. Dot Net reader Shawn Kenter attended the event and passed along the following details.

“During the tag match between DIY and Sanity, Ciampa hurt himself doing a diving knee to the outside. He hit the barricade. The referee threw up the X symbol and Ciampa hobbled out of there in a hurry after getting help. The match only went about four minutes. No update was given.”

Powell’s POV: WWE has yet to confirm the injury, nor has Ciampa addressed it via social media as of this update late Thursday night. Ciampa is scheduled to team with Johnny Gargano in a ladder match against the Authors of Pain at Saturday’s NXT Takeover: Chicago live special.
