WWE has announced Naomi vs. Alexa Bliss for the Smackdown Women’s Championship for tonight’s Smackdown Live television show.

Powell’s POV: It will be interesting to see whether the hometown curse approach that WWE seems to like comes into play or if they keep the title on Naomi. My guess is Charlotte is Smackdown bound with the “Superstar Shakeup” next week. If so, Smackdown having a babyface champion would seem logical. 1. Really unsure why they had Alexa Bliss do the job at Mania (and to a submission at that) in a six-woman match and then job her again to Naomi clean in a singles match the next night. Punishment duty for some reason? Is she going to Raw and being treated by the Smackdown writing team like a wrestler on their way out of the territory? Just seems weird to destroy her as a threat to Naomi’s title so quickly.
