9/19 WWE Raw Pre-Show notes: Live coverage of the WWE Network broadcast with a TJ Perkins interview

-Host Scott Stanford was joined by Booker T and Lita. Stanford hyped the Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins main event for Night of Champions. Lita hyped the debut of the cruiserweight division on Raw.

-TJ Perkins will be interviewed on the pre-show.

-Stanford noted that Jerry Lawler was not with them in the studio because he was at Raw in Memphis. Lawler checked in from Raw and hyped TJ Perkins on the pre-show, and an after party at his bar and restaurant in Memphis. Lawler said he would interview someone later in the show.

-The trivia question asked which wrestler made his WWE debut in Memphis in 1999. The answer is Big Show at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre.

-After a video recapped TJ Perkins winning the WWE Cruiserweight Classic and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, the hosts interviewed Perkins via Skype. Perkins, who was backstage at Raw, held the title belt over his shoulder.

-Perkins said it was a dream come true to debut on Raw. Lita asked him to choose between Antonio Inoki or Negro Casas. He said Inoki would slap him if he didn’t choose him, then he picked Casas because lucha is in his blood.

-Lita asked Perkins to name the opponents he is looking forward to facing. He mentioned a rematch of the finals with Gran Metalik, and also mentioned Cedric Alexander and Noam Dar. Lita mentioned Jack Gallaher, Perkins also mentioned Akira Tozawa.

-The panel discussed the women’s championship picture. Lita said Sasha was announced as the winner of the Triple Threat last week, but it looked like her shoulders were also down.

-Backstage at Raw, Dana Brooke said Sasha and Bayley were both pinned. Brooke said it wasn’t fair, and now they have to be in a tag match. Brooke said they should go talk to Mick Foley. Charlotte said she made a good point. Charlotte said Brooke will follow her and listen as she talks with Foley. Brooke put her hand on Charlotte’s shoulder and said she’s happy she can help. Charlotte said it was a good idea and even a broken clock is right twice in a day.

-Stanford said Chris Jericho was hyping the best Highlight Reel of 2016. They had a mystery graphic for his guest.

-Cathy Kelley checked in to discuss what was “trending” in WWE. She spoke about Chris Jericho looking like Jon Bon Jovi, The Rock on Good Morning America, and Sheamus calling Cesaro “number two.” They had a brief Mr. Hankey clip from South Park just in case anyone didn’t know what he was referencing. Yes, really.

-Jerry Lawler checked in from Raw again and hyped that Roman Reigns will open the show. Lawler said Mick Foley is not his usual jovial self. Chris Jericho showed up and complained about Stanford being terrible at his job. Jericho said Foley’s power has gone straight to his head. Jericho said he has a plan for Foley to show everyone on Raw what he thinks and to get him ousted. Jericho said Noelle Foley “walks around like she doesn’t even toot.”
