Logo_TNA_dn_600Sheri Shaw, who composes music for TNA, spoke with Huffington Post about Billy Corgan being a wrestling fan and pushing the limits to make wrestling fun again. ““I know that sounds crazy, but he’s very old-school wrestling in his thinking and his process of the whole psychology of [wrestling],” Shaw said. “But he’s always on the edge of what’s new and exciting and fun to watch.

“With the combination of the two, I don’t think you can watch an episode of Impact Wrestling and say ‘Meh!’ if you’re a true fan of wrestling.’ It’s just good. It’s quality, and it’s getting better and better.” Read the full story at Huffingtonpost.com.

Powell’s POV: The story lists some of her TNA work as the themes for Jessie Godderz, the recently signed Marshe Rockett, and Aron Rex. Shaw got her start with Corgan when she offered via Twitter to write theme music for the Resistance Pro Wrestling female wrestlers. Corgan listened to her music and contacted her the next day, which is really cool.
