Logo_TNA_dn_600TNA issued the following press release to announce that the Bound For Glory pay-per-view event will be held on October 2 in Orlando, Florida at Universal Studios.

TNA Wrestling announced today its biggest event of the year, Bound For Glory, will take place LIVE Sunday, October 2, at 8e/5p exclusively on Pay-Per-View.

This past week on IMPACT WRESTLING, Ethan Carter III cemented his quest to challenge for the TNA World Title at Bound For Glory as he won the BFG Playoffs. The current TNA World Champion and X Division Champion Lashley is on a path of destruction, collecting gold along the way – and this Thursday on IMPACT WRESTLING at 8/7c on Pop he will face current King Of The Mountain Champion James Storm in a Title vs Title match. Will Lashley go into Bound For Glory with three (or more) TNA Titles?

Also at Bound For Glory, Gail Kim will become the first female to be inducted into the prestigious TNA Hall of Fame. A five-time, and the first, Knockouts Champion, Kim, with her athleticism and leadership, has set the standard for modern women’s professional wrestling.

Other Stars and Knockouts of IMPACT WRESTLING scheduled to appear at Bound for Glory include, Broken Matt Hardy, “Brother Nero” Jeff Hardy, Drew Galloway, The Miracle Mike Bennett, Maria Kanellis Bennett, Decay and more.

Powell’s POV: The buzz was that TNA intended to hold the event on September 11, but they changed dates once WWE added the Smackdown themed Backlash pay-per-view to the schedule. Yes, that means two pro wrestling companies actually thought it was a good idea to run their events opposite the first Sunday of NFL season. At least WWE has the built in network subscription money, but I have no idea what TNA was thinking.
