imagesThe following matches are advertised for the WWE Battleground event, which will be held on July 24 in Washington, D.C. at Verizon Center.

-Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat for the WWE Championship.

-The Highlight Reel with Chris Jericho interviewing Randy Orton.

-Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens.

-John Cena, Enzo Amore, and Big Cass vs. AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson.

-Becky Lynch vs. Natalya.

-The Miz vs. Darren Young for the Intercontinental Title.

-Rusev vs. Zack Ryder for the U.S. Championship.

-Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods vs. Bray Wyatt, Erick Rowan, and Braun Strowman.

-Sasha Banks and a partner to be named vs. Charlotte and Dana Brooke.

Powell’s POV: The two matches listed lowest are new to the card and have spiced things up a bit. The main event hype has been underwhelming and WWE has only one more week of television, which will also include the draft, to really sell us on the first Triple Threat involving the former members of The Shield. Bayley is a popular pick for Sasha’s partner, though obviously nothing is official. Join me for live coverage a week from Sunday as the show streams on WWE Network.
