NXT wrestler Elias Samson (a/k/a Logan Shulo) suffered a fractured left ankle during a live event match against Andrade Almas on Friday night in Nashville. “The match had to be stopped due to the injury and Elias was helped to the back, unable to bear weight on the ankle,” WWE ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann told WWE.com. “Elias will be put in a cast and crutches, but is expected to make a full recovery.”
Powell’s POV: Dot Net correspondent Derik Zoo broke the news of the injury here on Dot Net. He noted that the injury occurred that Samson performed Stun Gun when he suffered the injury. “The next thing we saw was the referee throw up the X sign,” Zoo wrote. “Elias hit the mat in frustration and was then helped to the back to a standing ovation. He couldn’t put weight on his left leg.”
