Cody Rhodes commented on reports regarding the reasons behind his decision to ask for a release from WWE. “All the reports I’ve seen are 100% false & just speculation,” Rhodes wrote on his Twitter page. “Hope to provide answers by this evening.”
Powell’s POV: For those playing catchup, Rhodes announced on Saturday that he has asked for his release from WWE. He vowed to “speak further on the matter shortly.” It may seem like he’s working on an Adam Rose-like timetable, but perhaps he’s working out the details with the company. Of course, it could be an elaborate work and tonight’s Extreme Rules event will provide the story, but it’s nothing I’ve heard at this point.
