Ross on WWE Fastlane: “I thought the show was overall a solid presentation that had some good moments but it also had its ugly moments. Many fans of the vocal nature doth protest loudly but is that news? I think not as it’s seemingly the norm these days. I might be wrong but it seems that too many fans are obsessed way too much regarding pro wrestling creative.”

Powell’s POV: Are wrestling fans any worse than fans of a particular television show who start to notice a decrease in quality writing? That said, I don’t worry as much about the fans venting about the the quality of the booking as much as I worry about the silent fans who simply move on when they are satisfied with the quality of the product.

Ross on a wrestler flaw: “The show featured too many wrestlers who did not sell with consistency which is becoming a head scratcher and it’s a sad commentary as to where the business is apparently heading. I wonder at times if the decision makers who are running various wrestling companies even closely watch their own product and not only WWE. Talents seem to be hellbent on getting their ‘sh*t’ in and little else.”

Powell’s POV: Charlotte is one of the wrestlers who needs to work on her selling. For that matter, the finish of the Fastlane main event required Roman Reigns to simply shrug off the beating he took and go into Superman mode.

Ross on his next broadcasting gig: “I’m heading to Las Vegas this week to participate in a press conference that will reveal my next broadcasting gig of which I’m excited.”

Powell’s POV: Ring of Honor is in Las Vegas on Friday? A coincidence? I assume so since Ross also wrote that he’ll be watching the show on an app. Keep in mind that JR has also called MMA and boxing, and it’s even possible that this has nothing to do with combat sports.

Other topics include plenty of thoughts on WWE Fastlane, Brock Lesnar, Shinsuke Nakamura, The Ross Report, and more.
