Welcome to the Dot Net One Shots. Each week, we will present a quick "one shot" thought from each staff member about the previous week in each of the following areas: WWE, TNA and Other (MMA, Indies, etc).

WWE

Will Pruett (Twitter - @itswilltime): John Cena is discussing the youth movement in the company (both on the air and on Steve Austin's excellent podcast). Cesaro has had a breakout week going into the Elimination Chamber. Daniel Bryan is being set up as the top star in the Chamber. Guys, the future in now.

Jeff Lutz (Twitter - @JeffreyDLutz): I'm not sure I have hope for Titus O'Neil. Every time he appears on my television, I expect something great from him. That's a positive sign, I suppose, because O'Neil has done nothing to deserve such expectations -- which is not entirely his fault. O'Neil, however, fails to deliver every time. His in-ring work is average at best, and while his microphone skills should help get him over eventually, his Monday promo was just too loud for my tastes. Why all the screaming? I'd love for O'Neil to eventually prove me wrong (or is it proving me right?), because he has a lot of tools and deserves a chance to display them more consistently.

Jake Barnett (Twitter - @barnettjake): WWE did a better job of adding some interest to the Chamber PPV than I expected Monday night. I'm looking forward to the Chamber Match and The Wyatt's vs. The Shield, but that's about it. If I weren't going to be in the building, it would be hard to convince myself not to wait the 30 days for this event to appear on the WWE Network.

Zack Zimmerman (Twitter - @InVasionZim): The build to Elimination Chamber has come on surprisingly strong in the past couple of weeks. All Chamber participants have been heavily featured an all have unique dichotomies with one another. Granted, there are only one or two outcomes that seem like legit possibilities, but the way they've promoted the top two matches on the show have me excited for Sunday.

Ryan Kester (Twitter - @InnominatusTTV): WWE needs to be careful with the hints that Daniel Bryan could win the Elimination Chamber. On one hand, it's a smart move to get Bryan's fans to buy the PPV, but WWE has already disappointed his fans enough in the past that if they fail to pull the trigger again, they will only be alienating more fans right before WrestleMania.

Darren Gutteridge (Twitter - @Dazatheg): Even after all that has gone down this week, I still don't see Cesaro making it as a babyface. Listening to his appearance on Colt Cabana's podcast (back when he was Claudio Castagnoli), he came across as a very likeable, humble guy, but everything about him on TV screams heel - build, in-ring style, promos, everything. At the very least, I'd like to see him get a main event push in his most comfortable role first, before changing alignment if its warranted.

TNA

Will Pruett: The Wolves were impressive in their debut match and I feel like TNA is determined to make them feel special. As much as I am not into all of the authority figure drama, I am quite happy to see The Wolves as major players in it. Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards deserve this major opportunity.

Jake Barnett: I'm a big fan of MVP and The Wolves. That being said, I'm not a big fan of either of them in TNA thus far. Both acts should feel like a bigger deal than they currently do, and MVP's interactions with Dixie Carter have already felt cliche and banal. Also, what's up with that low rent casket? It made the whole match between Anderson and Bully Ray feel bush league.

Zack Zimmerman: TNA signed some names that had me optimistic, only to coincide them with a sheer over-abundance of Dixie Carter. Quite frankly, the bad outweighs the good. Hey TNA, remember how fans spent all of the second half of 2013 complaining about the products on TV? I guarantee you not 1% of those complaints spawned from fans wanting more authority and bureaucracy in their wrestling programs.

Ryan Kester: It's disappointing to see the story of Magnus' run built around the idea of him being a "paper champion." Magnus has so much potential for TNA to be a major player, and they are squandering it with this story.

Other (MMA, Indies, Etc)

Will Pruett (WWE Network): I'm a sucker for historical wrestling, and I cannot wait to see the WWE Network on debut day. I may overdose on wrestling next Monday and it'll be the best thing. Anyone want to join me in live tweeting the Canadian Stampede In Your House show from 1997 first thing Monday morning?

Jeff Lutz (Chris Jericho): I've decided to follow Chris Shore's path and become Dot Net's next literary superstar. I'm planning on submitting an entry in Chris Jericho's contest to write the prologue for his next autobiography. Jericho's first book was possibly my favorite in the wrestling genre, or any other genre for that matter, and had an impact on me as it described his mother's health problems and ultimate death. Hopefully I can follow through on these plans, because the prospect of writing about something personal strikes within me a fear of not being picked.

Jake Barnett (Cesaro): Holy s&*#! Two great matches from Cesaro in one week against top guys. I don't know what this means for Cesaro beyond Elimination Chamber, but I'm thrilled to see him get an opportunity to show what he's capable of when he cuts loose in the ring. Can we get a Bryan vs. Cesaro feud this year, please? It doesn't need to be overwrought. Just give them 30+ minutes on PPV.

Zack Zimmerman (NXT): Next week, NXT Arrival is running on the WWE Network the same night as TNA Impact. Not just because I'm one of the "NXT guys" on staff, but based on historical evidence, I highly recommend tuning into NXT if it comes down to a choice between the two. NXT knows exactly who they are, what they're about, and how they portray their product. The same cannot be said for TNA. If you're familiar with NXT, you should be as excited as I am. If you're not familiar, you should be even more excited because of the new "universe" you're about to discover.

Ryan Kester (WWE Network): The dispute between Dish Network and WWE is an interesting issue to watch unfold. WWE is breaking a lot of ground with their personal streaming service offering, but I wondered how easily it would all go over with existing TV giants. I'll be honest, I expected a lot more than just one provider to balk at their move, and it will be interesting to see how negatively it impacts WWE if Dish sticks to their guns and doesn't offer Elimination Chamber.

Darren Gutteridge (WWE Network): Should all the additional content linked to Raw, SD and NXT on the WWE Network be akin to the content found on the WWE App (i.e. not important), then international fans will likely be OK with missing it, but should important events go down on the Raw post-game show, it may disillusion the rest of the world, forcing them to seek out pirated versions of the content. Not something WWE will want to do before launching a subscription service.
