Shore's WWE Smackdown Hit List: Bray Wyatt carries the (Big) Show, WrestleMania misses, Fandango vs. a team, wasting Emma, Batista vs. Sheamus is solid

WWE Smackdown Hits
Bray Wyatt: Both Bray Wyatt's promo and match with Big Shoe deserve a Hit this week. Bray continues to prove that he is a once in a generation talker and has more than enough in-ring skill to be a top player in WWE for many, many years. Hard to believe this was Husky Harris. Big Show also deserves the honorable mention here for taking Sister Abigail like he did. I'm not sure how it looked live, but it worked on TV and there's no question Big Show had to help Bray with his size. I wish this would have been a little cleaner for Bray, WWE seems to think Big Show needs to be protected, but it wasn't an overbooked crap-fest. Nice work around.
Batista vs. Sheamus: I didn't have high hopes for this match, and while I'm not screaming at you to watch this match, it does deserve a Hit. Sheamus sold well for Batista here to give him that edge that he did actually need before WrestleMania 30. Batista continues to draw fantastic heat as he has embraced a similar character from the one he had when he left. I hate that Sheamus has fallen to the top babyface that jobs out to the main event players, but he served that purpose well here.
WWE Smackdown Misses
Overall Show: This might have been the hardest Hit List I've ever had to write because so much of the show was vanilla and flat. Nothing really fell easily into a Hit or a Miss. That's frustrating on the whole, but it is exceptionally so when you consider there is only one more legitimate time to sell this show, Monday on Raw, because next week's Smackdown will be filled with Fan Axxess video and made video recaps. Why waste this opportunity? I just don’t get it.
Mark Henry vs. The Miz: The match that got less reaction than the Divas was doomed from the start because the participants are as meaningless as 3MB. How did that happen? Mark Henry was the MVP of Smackdown the last two years and Miz, while he never should have been a main eventer, is better than this. What a sad state the mid-card of WWE is.
Fandango vs. Goldust: I just flat don’t understand this feud. Why is the single's heel feuding with a babyface tag team? I might could see this if the characters were going the other way, but this setup just doesn't make any sense to me. Not that they have even bothered to try and explain it either. WWE took the tag titles off the Rhodes brothers and neither they, nor the tag division, have been the same since.
Santino and Emma: I get it. Emma's quirky and you're trying to get that over. But you don’t think AJ could get that over? Or Summer Rae with just her face? Emma can work her ass off. I'll forgive a silly story line if you will just put her in the ring to breathe some life into that division. Having her sit backstage and play vomit jokes with Santino is just a waste of her talent.
