Joe Blanchard dead at age 84, Tully Blanchard comments

Pro wrestling promoter Joe Blanchard died on Thursday. His son Tully Blanchard wrote the following on his Facebook page: "‎3-22-2012 marks the end of my Fathers life in the natural. He passed at 8:00 AM, Joe Blanchard stepped into Eternity with his Lord and Savior, Jesus!" [Thanks to Dot Net Member "Kent Hrbek" for passing along Tully's message]

Powell's POV: Joe was a promoter of the Southwest Championship Wrestling promotion, which was based in San Antonio, Texas. Tully will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Four Horsemen next weekend. Our condolences go out to Tully and the Blanchard family.
