[Q1] The show began with highlights of No Way Out and how Edge lost the WWE title just to regain the world title later on in the night. Justin Roberts introduced Edge as the new world champion and he was accompanied by his weekly, monster heel heat from the Portland crowd.

Mind of Marv: Seems like the West coast has more heel heat for heels than everywhere else in the country.

Edge said everyone never accomplished anything in their lives. He said that he is a winner and not a loser. Edge said when he sees an opportunity, he takes it and when Kofi Kingston was unable to participate, he seized his opportunity. He said that he stands before you as the 8 time, world heavyweight champion. Jeff Hardy aka the Emetic Joker came out to interrupt Edge. Jeff came out and said "Edge, you did it man." Jeff said that Edge gets special privileges because he is married to a pathetic excuse of a general manager.

Edge said that Jeff is whining like Cena did on RAW. Jeff said he wants to challenge Edge for the WWE title tonight. Edge said what give him the right....and asked him was he taking illegal substances again? Jeff countered and said that Edge is not WWE champ because he pinned him in 3 minutes. Edge asked the crowd if he wants to see him compete against Jeff and he said no. Jeff said Edge is Vickie's puppet and if he wants to go to the bathroom, he has to raise his hand. Jeff gave Edge a Twist of Fate to end the segment.

Mind of Marv: Good segment to open the show. I understand John Chaina wants a rematch but I would rather see Jeff vs. Edge. But for storyline purposes, we may have to endure the Chain Gang Maggot in the title picture for the 3,430th time, ugh.

Tazz went to hype the Triple H interview which is later tonight and the fight with Orton and Shane was shown from Raw. And then all the actions that followed the fight including the punt to Shane and Steph getting the sickest and MARV MEANS the sickest RKO of the year. [C]

[Q2] Vickie is in her office and Kizarny was trying to tell a knock knock joke and Edge tells him to get out. Edge did his usual complaining about facing Jeff Hardy. Vickie said that as GM she can make the match happen, but it will not be a title match. Edge said that's good because it would be stupid if it was a title match. Vickie gave him the shit face and Edge apologized in a quick fashion.

Mind of Marv: Dammit I thought Shore's brother, Kizarny was released weeks ago.

1. Michelle McCool & Maryse defeated Eve & Maria in 4:10. Maria and McCool began the match. The heels worked on Maria outside of the ring. Maria went for an inside cradle for a nearfall. Maryse got the hot tag in and continued to work on Maria with a modified camel clutch. Maria goes the tag to Eve for some quick offense but was kicked in the dome by Michelle McCool. Maryse scored the pinfall after knocking Maria out and pinning Eve.

Mind of Marv: Is there such thing as a Divas squash match? The sloppy spots were hard to endure. Ugh.

The Bella Twins and Miz/Morrison date is next...[C]

[Q3] The date was shown with everyone drinking champagne and wine. Miz and Morrison were acting like idiots by sniffing their foods and complaining. The asked the waiter (Primo) if he was stupid. The Colons were in the back dressed as waiters and they were making plans to sabotage the date. The Colons brought pies and pie-faced the Bella Twins. They started to complain in Spanish.

Mind of Marv: Miz and Morrison act like frat guys, hilarious. Nikki is the stuck up one and Brie is falling for the Miz's game....man she's stupid.

JR hyped the WWE Tag Team Championship match for next week and if Miz and Morrison win they can become the undisputed Tag Team Champions.

Mind of Marv: Finally, WWE is taking my ideas into consideration by unifying these titles. I am getting my MBA in 3 months...I can be a nice acquisition for the WWE. I'm just saying...

Shelton Benjamin made his way to the ring. [C]

[Q4] Edge and Jeff Hardy is the main event for later on tonight. R-Truth made his entrance through the crowd and the heels attacked Truth. MVP came out to save Truth but the damage was already done. [C]

2. MVP defeated Shelton Benjamin & Chavo Guerrero in a handicap match in approximately 6:00 because the match was already in progress. The show returned with MVP and Shelton was aggressive in the ring. The match became a handicap match because Truth got assaulted prior to the beginning of the match. MVP attempted the Drive By on Chavo, but Shelton moved Chavo. Shelton started to work on MVP with a T-Bone suplex.

Shelton was going to finish MVP off but Chavo tagged himself in. Chavo did the 3 Amigos on MVP and Shelton tagged himself in. Chavo knocked Shelton out and gave him a frogsplash. MVP gave Shelton the Drive By to keep his winning streak alive.

Mind of Marv: MVP is hot right now and here is the plan for 2009: regain the US Title, then become the Money in the Bank winner. That should be road to success for Franchise Playa.

The Triple H interview is next...[C] The video of the Orton and McMahon feud is shown along with Orton's actions was shown from Monday Night.

[Q5] JR asked Hunter about his thoughts about Monday Night. Hunter hesitated and drank some water. Hunter said that a lot of people may not like Vince but he is a 63 year man. He did the same to Shane and then he put his hands on his wife. Hunter said Orton crossed the line and Steph is the mother of his children. And he walked out...[C]

Mind of Marv: They better make the Triple H/Orton match at Wrestlemania filled with blood because Hunter makes it seem he is gonna kill Orton. The bloodshot eyes and the buildup was great acting by Hunter. By golly, give him an Oscar!

The main event was hyped...

3. Umaga squashed Scotty Goldman in 1:20. Sidewalk slam, super kick, 350 lbs of ass in the face, Samoan spike, end of match. Total squash.

Mind of Marv: For your efforts AND from the words of Vince McMahon: Scotty Goldman...YOUR FIRED!!!!

The Wrestlemania 14 video was shown and the birth of the Attitude Era. Vickie is walking to the ring to make a major announcement. [C]

[Q6] Vickie is already in the ring with the heel heat looming though the Rose Garden. She says they don't know who HBK and JBL think they are by saying they will break Taker's undefeated streak. Vickie went on say they are not worthy and the person who should break it is Kozlov. She introduces Kozlov and said that Kozlov will face Undertaker next week. Kozlov (with his broken English) says he will defeat Undertaker or anyone that crosses his way to Wrestlemania.

Mind of Marv: Kozlov in a high profile match at Wrestlemania will be a red flag because he has gotten rather boring and his last PPV matches proves my theory.

The main event is hyped again. The Gail Kim training video is shown.

Mind of Marv: Kim needs to come to Smackdown because with Natalya going ECW as a valet and Victoria retiring last month, the Divas on this brand needs help, badly. Hopefully she doesn't come back to WWE as a jobber to the divas who clearly can't wrestle.

[Q7] The announcers said that Triple H will confront Randy Orton on Raw on Monday night. They mentioned that Stone Cold is the leader of this year's Hall of Fame class and the video of the Funks being inducted this year's hall of fame class. Edge made his ring entrance with no pyro. [C]

Mind of Marv: Twill...enough is enough we got the joke last week, why do this again?

4. Jeff Hardy defeated Edge in a non-title match by DQ in 19:00. The match began with Jeff kicking and giving Edge arm bar takedown. Jeff began to work on Edge's arm and applied a face buster. Jeff applied an arm bar takedown and Edge took control of the match briefly with punches to Jeff's head. Jeff baseball slid Edge outside of the ring and Edge took control by giving Jeff a neck breaker after the six count. [C]

[Q8] The show returned with Edge working on Jeff's neck. Jeff tried to get back in control but Edge yanked him by his hair. Edge gave Jeff a neck breaker for a near fall. Edge continued to work on Jeff's neck by applying a chin lock. Jeff flew out of the ring but managed to get in at the nine count. Edge tried to climb the ropes but Jeff knocked him down. Jeff went for a roll up for a near fall. Both competitors clothesline each other and got up for a seven count. Edge tried to use the ropes but got caught. Jeff applied a Whisper in the Wind but it was only for a near fall. Jeff got some quick offense but only for a near fall.

Jeff tried to cover Edge but Edge's foot was on the rope for the near fall. Jeff attempted a Twist of Fate but was countered for the near fall. Edge tried to spear Jeff but was countered by a roll up for a near fall. Jeff hit the Twist of Fate and the Swanton and when Jeff tried to get the pin, Matt came out and interfered for the disqualification.

Matt said that Jeff couldn't get the black cloud from around him and he wants to face Jeff one on one next week. Matt left to a chorus of heat and Edge speared Jeff to end the show.

Mind of Marv: Good match to close the show. This should be the beginning of the buildup of the Hardy brother feud to lead into Wrestlemania. But overall, the show was mediocre yet acceptable.
