WWE releases a former TNA star
Mar 18, 2009 - 02:53 PM |
WWE released Travis Tomko, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Tomko was actually released some time ago. He worked one match after re-signing with the company following his TNA run, but he struggled due to a preexisting pectoral injury and was not used again. [Thanks to Dot Net reader T. Lawrence]
Powell's POV: It's too bad Tomko didn't work out in WWE because he's a talented big man performer who has storyline ties to Christian. Here's hoping that he and TNA can let bygones be bygones and do business again at some point. Most importantly, though, Tomko should have the surgery that TNA officials encouraged him to have, assuming he hasn't already.
