WWE News: Chris Jericho says the time isn't right for his WWE return
Apr 1, 2014 - 11:48 AM |
Chris Jericho told the Boston Herald that he will not be involved at WrestleMania 30. "I’m not a part of it and I won’t be a part of it," Jericho said. "And it was my choice to sit out this year."
Jericho explained why he made this decision. "If I’m going to be at WrestleMania, it’s going to be in a position that I can sink my teeth into, a position that I think is significant enough for somebody of Y2J’s experience level and notoriety," he said. "Looking at the card this year and you see everybody who came back — Brock Lesnar and Undertaker are back, Triple H is back, Batista is back, and it’s the ascension of Daniel Bryan — how many spots are there available for Jericho at this point in time?"
Jericho also chimed in on the C.M. Punk situation. "Everyone’s asking, 'Where is CM Punk?' Punk had enough of whatever was going on, and none of us really know whatever it was, and he left. And that’s your only choice." Read the full interview at Bostonherald.com.
Powell's POV: A good and lengthy interview. Jericho also discussed criticism that he put over too many wrestlers during his last run, the wrestler he would have preferred to face at WrestleMania 30, his current relationship with Triple H, his history in Boston, a painful moment with John Cena, his podcast, and entertaining.
