WWE News: WWE Network users who were charged for the free trial get a make good
Mar 30, 2014 - 07:48 PM |
WWE issued the following statement to Prowrestling.net regarding the way the company intends to handle the issue of WWE Network users who were mistakenly billed for the WWE Network free one-week trial.
WWE discovered a technical issue affecting some fans that signed up for a free trial of WWE Network while on a mobile device, which inadvertently resulted in a charge on their credit card. Those fans who were affected will get a free week of access added to the end of their WWE Network subscription.
Powell's POV: This seems like a fair solution. There were some cases of actual subscribers who were double billed when they paid for the network. I've heard from multiple users who were simply refunded the cost of the extra subscription, though one reader had a headache with the customer service department canceling his service outright and saying they could not restore it for several days.
