WWE News: Dolph Ziggler pulled from the Extreme Rules pay-per-view
May 13, 2013 - 08:25 PM |
WWE announced that Dolph Ziggler will not be able to wrestle at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view on Sunday due to the concussion he suffered last week. As such, Alberto Del Rio will face Jack Swagger in an "I Quit" match to determine the No. 1 contender.
Powell's POV: At the risk of overanalyzing this news, it would appear that WWE officials feel confident that Ziggler will be back sooner rather than later since they didn't strip him of the title. He was previously scheduled to face Del Rio and Swagger in a Triple Threat ladder match on Sunday.
