WWE News: C.M. Punk rips the company for lack of promotional help
Nov 20, 2012 - 03:12 PM |
C.M. Punk ripped into WWE for failing to promote his appearance as the grand marshall of the Thanksgiving parade in Chicago and on AMC's The Talking Dead. "Shocking how WWE didn't promote it or get AMC the proper materials in time to announce it," Punk wrote.
"I will also be the Grand Marshall in the Chicago turkey day parade. Also not announced or promoted by 'my' company. Shocking. This is what happens when you go over everyone's head to hustle and acquire your own outside appearances."
Punk followed by noting that one of the appearances was promoted on Monday. "Wasn't Sunday night when it was supposed to be," he wrote. "Ball dropped. S'okay. I'll pick it up and score like I always do." Follow Punk online at Twitter.com/CMPunk.
Powell's POV: The great thing about the Punk character is that he can rip the company and cry disrespect and it ties into his character. Punk's appearance on the McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade will air on WGN beginning at 8:00 a.m. CT. The Talking Dead show airs on Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. CT.
