WWE Raw rating: Did the post SummerSlam show lead to a bounce back in the ratings?
Aug 21, 2012 - 06:53 PM |
Monday's WWE Raw television show drew a 3.14 rating, up from the 2.84 rating from last week. raw averaged 4.48 million viewers for the full show. Hour one drew 4.35 million viewers for the first hour, 4.66 million in hour two, and dropped to 4.43 million for the final hour.
Powell's POV: One of the factors that I failed to mention in the ratings update last week was that TNT did huge numbers for The Closer finale and its new spinoff show. The TNT numbers combined with NFL preseason football on ESPN appear to have taken a toll on last week's Raw. WWE Raw bounced back to above the 3.08 rating the show did two weeks ago, so the lack of "The Closer" as strong competition from TNT combined with it being the night after SummerSlam are likely reasons for the ratings increase. For comparison purposes, last week's Raw drew Raw drew 3.79 million viewers in the first hour, 4.252 million viewers in hour two, and 4.354 million viewers in the third hour.
