WWE wrestler David Otunga hypes WrestleMania 28 "The Wendy Williams Show" and discusses his relationship with singer Jennifer Hudson
Mar 19, 2012 - 03:18 PM |
Dot Net reader Anthony Alston sent the following recap of WWE wrestler David Otunga's appearance on Wendy Williams' syndicated television talk show.
Clips of Otunga in action were shown. He came out with his trademark coffee mug (WWE has got to start selling those asap). They discussed how he got his start in the entertainment business through the reality show "I Love New York" where he was given the name of Punk. Of course, Otunga's fiancee Jennifer Hudson came up and they discussed how they met. Otunga said he saw him on "I Love New York."
The interview got emotional when talk of the family tragedy that Hudson went through came up. They also discussed how how Hudson credits Otunga with saving her life as she was going back home to Chicago when David asked her at the last minute to come down to Tampa to be with him (presumably he was in FCW at this time).
The interview closed with WrestleMania hype and Otunga hyped the Battle of the General Managers and name dropped Big Johnny and Teddy Long. Overall, Otunga came across well and and it was nice to see WrestleMania get a little mainstream love.
Powell's POV: The show airs in syndication and may not have aired in your market yet. For a list of stations and times, visit Wendyshow.com/tv-listings/.
