WWE News: Ultimate Warrior boasts that he rejected Vince McMahon's invitation to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame
Jan 22, 2012 - 09:37 AM |
The Ultimate Warrior was asked about the WWE Hall of Fame and responded to a follower who said there were others much more worthy of the honor. "Yeah, and none with balls to turn (Vince McMahon) invite down like I already did," Warrior responded.
A second fan stated that Warrior was never respected by peers enough to be in the Hall of Fame. "One peer's respect decides all - VKM. And I said no." Follow Warrior on Twitter at Twitter.com/UltimateWarrior.
Powell's POV: Warrior was contacted by WWE about the 2010 Hall of Fame. He previously noted that Vince McMahon called him on December 23, 2009. There were reports that the two sides could not agree on his compensation, though he claimed in a blog that "the issue of money never came up." Warrior said he wanted to discuss the invite with McMahon in person, but McMahon never found time to do so.
