WWE News: First ever live special of Smackdown on SyFy to air on August 30

WWE and SyFy announced today that Smackdown will air live from Wichita, Kansas on SyFy on Tuesday August 30 at 7:00pm CT. The show will also re-air in its normal timeslot Friday, September 2. This special will be called "Super Smackdown." [via TV by the Numbers]
Shore's Slant: Interesting. I wonder what caused this. Suddenly they announce this the day UFC announces they will be going head to head with Smackdown. I'm so excited, three hours of TV that night with NXT following up! OK, I'm really not that excited. But it does allow me to work the Evo show on Friday night so there's that.
