WWE sources say Awesome Kong (a/k/a Kia Stevens) was asked by WWE officials to clear up her legal situation in Florida before going to work for the company. Thus, she turned herself in to Hillsborough County, Florida officials so that her driving without a license charge could be resolved.

Powell's POV: One source stated that Kong moved out of Florida recently and returned there last week specifically to deal with this situation. I do not believe the company plans to have her start in developmental. Given her credentials, I don't know what purpose it would serve to send her to Florida Championship Wrestling. It's possible they would send her there to work off some ring rust as a reader pointed out, but I don't believe a lengthy run in developmental is in the plans.
