WWE is taking proposals from cities that want to host a WWE Hall of Fame building

WWE is seeking proposals by the end of the month from cities interested in hosting a WWE Hall of Fame building. The Orlando Sentinel features a quote regarding the solicitation that was issued by the company.
"WWE is seeking public and/or private partners (may include local and state governmental entities, private-sector funding sources, etc.) to develop, fund and maintain what will be viewed as one of the premier halls of fame in the world of sports and entertainment," reads the item.
Meanwhile, WWE spokesmen continue to say little about their plans. "WWE is in the very preliminary stages of evaluating this opportunity, and we have nothing further to report at this time," a WWE spokesperson told the Sentinel. Powell's POV: In related news, Dot Net is also looking for public and/or private partners (may include local and state governmental entities, private-sector funding sources, etc.) to develop, fund and maintain the Dot Net Hall of Fame. Our sales pitch? "If you build it, no one will come."
In all seriousness, it appears WWE is getting serious about building an actual Hall of Fame building. As the Sentinel article noted that Orlando is a logical destination simply because it's a tourist destination. That seems like a major key to the success of such building, as it probably wouldn't have long term success if it were located in a city that doesn't have strong tourism. Selfishly, I'll throw out a spot in or near Mall of America in Minnesota as an option.
