WWE News: Undertaker injured, status for the WWE Fatal Four Way up in the air
May 31, 2010 - 06:46 PM |
Prowrestling.net has confirmed the Wrestling Observer report that Undertaker is nursing an orbital bone injury suffered during the match with Rey Mysterio that aired on Friday's Smackdown television show.
Taker's status for the Fatal Four Way pay-per-view is in question. One source reports that "the long term diagnosis can't be made for several more days," and it's assumed he will be out for several weeks.
Powell's POV: The Observer is reporting that Mysterio, who was scheduled to have the month off, is likely to be called back to fill in for Taker on house shows and television. It's another big blow to WWE, which has definitely been bit by the injury bug lately. Thanks to all the readers who passed along the story.
This original source for the above news was Dave Meltzer of the WrestlingObserver.com.
