The Fayetteville Observer is reporting that Jeff Hardy did make an appearance in court today. His local attorney, James Van Camp, officially asked the court to consider Hardy for a Sentencing Services program, which works to create alternatives to serving prison time. In essence, Jeff would enter rehab as opposed to serving jail time if accepted under the program.

Sentencing Services administrator Becky Carlson said she had only conducted an initial review but felt that Hardy was "borderline" in need of entering a 28 day inpatient program. The case has been continued until June 1.

Shore's Slant Please disregard the other June date as it was reported incorrectly by the Pilot newspaper. So this is the first time we have had a public "admitting" of Jeff's addiction problems. I hope he gets help out of this. I will be traveling back in June when I fully expect this to finish playing out.
