TNA News: Sting and Jeff Hardy main event cut short, Hardy's first comments since the Victory Road pay-per-view
Mar 14, 2011 - 09:21 AM |
By Jason Powell
The TNA Victory Road main event was cut short due to concerns that Jeff Hardy was in no condition to perform. The match lasted less than 90 seconds. When the bell rang, Hardy teased throwing his t-shirt into the crowd a few times before setting it down in the ring.
Sting and Hardy locked up. Sting punched Hardy twice, grabbed him by the hair, and then performed the Scorpion Death Drop. Sting covered Hardy and scored the clean pin to end the match. Afterward, Sting appeared to respond to fan calls of "bullshit" by saying "I agree" as he stood on the stage.
Powell's POV: The only comment Hardy has made since the match on his Twitter page since the match is "Things are op." I've spoken with multiple sources regarding Hardy's state, and the word "mess" was used to describe his state of mind. He is scheduled to return to court this month to face drug trafficking charges.
