-Dot Net reader Paul Dakermandji wrote to say he posted a video selling his WrestleMania 30 weekend tickets because he was unable to go, and WWE Hall of Famer saw it and posted it on his Facebook page, which helped Paul sell his tickets quickly. -Former WWE wrestler Charlie Haas (a/k/a Charles Doyle Haas II) turns 42 today. Haas held the WWE Tag Team Championships three times and had a good run with Shelton Benjamin as the World's Greatest Tag Team before retiring abruptly in a drunken fit at a ROH show in 2013. Haas has wrestled since that time, but not on a regular basis.
-Haas's late brother Russ Haas (a/k/a Thomas Russell Haas) would have turned 40 today. The brothers were born on the same day two years apart. Russ died of a heart attack on December 15, 2001 at 27 years of age. Charlie wrestled for a while as "R.C. Haas" and wore his brother's name on his wrist tape in honor of his passing.
-Former TNA Knockout SoCal Val (a/k/a Paige Nicole Mayo) turns 28 today. SoCal Val left TNA in August 2013 aftyer six years with the company and has mostly stayed away from wrestling since leaving.
-Japanese wrestling legend Kenta Kobashi turns 47 today. Kobashi was one of the biggest stars to leave New Japan to form Pro Wrestling NOAH and is probably best known in the U.S. for his brutal match against Samoa Joe in ROH. He retired from active wrestling in May 2013.
-Global Supercard Wrestling has a one-hour show on ESPN Classic at 7:00 p.m. CT, followed by a three hour block later in the night, beginning at 10:00 p.m. CT.
