2014-06-26 00:58:55

TNA TV Taping
New York, New York
Report by Dot Net reader Corey Richman of Workedshoot.podomatic.com

Kurt Angle started the show in the balcony and spoke about the six-sided ring, past stars, and a rebirth in NYC. Angle introduced Taz, who was also in balcony, and spoke about a new rebirth. Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer came to the ring. Bully put over NYC huge and promised tables. Dreamer was humbled by the support. There were chants for Balls Mahoney.

Ethan Carter III with Rhino interrupted and said Dixie Carter will not go through a table tonight. They said E stands for extreme and C stands for for cash. Dreamer said he wants less talk and more action, which led to a brawl.

1. Ethan Carter III and Rhino (w/Rockstar Spud) beat Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer. EC3 held the tights while pinning Dreamer in around seven minutes.

2. Austin Aries won an eight-man X Division gauntlet match. The order of entry was Aries, Eddie Edwards (ROH chant), Manik, Davey Richards, DJ Z, Tigre Uno, Crazy Steve, and Sanada. Manik and Ion were involved in a double elimination. Crazy Steve eliminated Uno. Edwards eliminated Crazy Steve. Edwards and Richards were eliminated by Sanada. The singles match between Sanada and Aries for X Division Title
was won by Aries with the brainbuster in 16 minutes.

Kenny King and MVP, who was on crutches, spoke about new Director of Wrestling Operations Kurt Angle's abuse of power.

3. Eric Young and Bobby Roode beat Kenny King and MVP. Team Canada won by DQ when MVP used a crutch on Roode in seven minutes.

4. Madison Rayne beat Brittany in a NO DQ match. Rayne won clean in six minutes.

5. Bobby Lashley defeated Jeff Hardy to retain the TNA Title. Lashely mistimed his jump onto the apron during his entrance. He won clean with a spear in 11 minutes.
