Shore's TNA Impact Wrestling Hit List: Bpbby Roode and Bully Ray reignite, Mr. Anderson and Sam Shaw don't, Kenny King and The Beautiful People have good returns, Magnus loves Abyss, more

TNA Impact Wrestling Hits

Bobby Roode and Bully Ray: I felt like this feud was over last week when Ray destroyed Roode, but not only was the post-table match beating from Roode a big Hit, it breathed new life into that feud. My only fear is we go back and forth like this so many times it becomes garbage ultimately, but right now I am enjoying where this feud is going.

Kenny King returns: I had high hopes for Kenny King when he left ROH for TNA, but TNA has misused him to the point of collapse. Having him mix it up with MVP was the right move and created a Hit for the show. The post-match brawl was also well done, except for the Wolves chastising MVP. Did they take Davey Richards's and Eddie Edwards's balls when they signed? The ROH/indy version of those guys would have cheered MVP on.

The Beautiful People: This was a minor Hit, but a Hit nonetheless. The act drew good heat that will get better over time, and they have a good feud developing with Madison and Brittany. I fear Brittany ends up with the Beautiful People, a move that will bury a talented performer to the number three spot in the faction, but perhaps they will surprise us and keep her away and let her become the character she has the ability to be.

TNA Impact Wrestling Misses

Mr. Anderson vs. Sam Shaw: Unlike Roode and Ray, this feud is dead and buried. Worse yet, TNA decided to show that stupid clip of Shaw trying to save his mannequin. Nothing says "legitimate threat" like a guy who gets beat saving a half-mannequin. A real sociopath wouldn't bring the damn thing to the ring with him to begin with anyway. Sam Shaw has potential, and I think this character might too, but not the way they are booking him.

Magnus and Abyss: The logic behind this is so flimsy, unless you except at face value that Abyss is a total moron. Magnus has been nothing but a backstabbing heel, even with Dixie Carter and company. Now Abyss is going to ignore all that because Magnus said he loved him? This made much more sense when it was a business arrangement. This new direction is a complete miss.

Tigre Uno vs. Sanada: So for no reason whatsoever these two guys, who we know virtually nothing about, and with no feud to build on, are having a best of three series for the X Division title? Do I really need to explain why this is a miss? I get the X Division is all about the high flying stuff, as long as Abyss or Samoa Joe aren't in the division, but I need more than a bunch of flips and dives to get me to buy into a match, especially when it's only one of three.

Eric Young: I'm sorry, but I'm just not buying it with EY. His music hits and he comes out and bobs his head like he has for every comedic character he has ever played. There's no question EY can wrestle, and he has entertained me at times in the past. The problem is EY the character has zero credibility as a main event player, so he sticks out like a sore thumb.
